All-round energy efficiency

The energy saving feature contains various settings with which you can optimize power consumption and maximize energy savings. You can enable CPU power limiting, dim the Aura lighting and set the fan profile to an energy saving mode. You can also switch the power saving plan that is integrated in Microsoft Windows.

Flexible controls for air and water cooling

The ASUS Fan Xpert 2+ software offers comprehensive control over fans and all-in-one (AiO) coolers. Whether you cool with air or water, the auto-tuning mode intelligently configures all parameters with a single click. There is also an extremely quiet mode that reduces fan speeds below the standard minimum so your system remains whisper-quiet during light tasks. Fans and AiO coolers can also be controlled via UEFI BIOS.

Precise digital power control

The Digi+ voltage regulator module (VRM) provides real-time control over voltage drop and automatically controls frequency and power efficiency settings. In addition, you can use it to optimize your CPU for ultimate stability and performance.

VRM heatsink and thermal pad

The VRM heatsink and thermal pad improve heat transfer from the MOSFETs and mounting devices for better cooling performance.

Multiple temperature sources

Each connector can be dynamically assigned one of three temperature sensors. With Fan Xpert you can map the temperature of supported ASUS graphics cards to optimize cooling for GPU and CPU intensive tasks.

4-pin PWM/DC fan

The case fan header supports automatic detection of PWM or DC fans.

ProCool connector

Proprietary connectors complement the motherboard connection to the power supply with 8-pin connectors that deliver 12 volts directly to the processors. Each socket is equipped with massive contacts that can handle higher currents than sockets with hollow contacts.

DDR4 support

Improvements in trace routing design enable the latest Intel® processors improved access to memory bandwidth. ASUS technology carefully maps the signal paths of the memory across different PCB layers to reduce path distance and adds shielding zones that significantly reduce crosstalk.

Within a single intuitive user interface, Armoury Crate offers easily customizable Aura Sync RGB settings for each compatible device in your arsenal as well as controls for a constantly growing family of ASUS products, including keyboard and mouse settings.
